Four KTGY Principals Invited to Speak at Building Industry Show 2007 at Long Beach Convention Center; Ken Ryan, Tricia Esser, David Kent & Damian Taitano to Participate

IRVINE, CALIF. - Award-winning KTGY GROUP, INC., Architecture and Planning, is pleased to announce that four KTGY principals have been invited to speak at the Building Industry Association of Southern California’s Building Industry Show 2007: “Elevating the Standards of Homebuilding,” November 15-16, 2007 at the Long Beach Convention Center. BIS will explore the building industry’s many technological innovations from the consumer perspective – what homeowners want most, what they now consider standard, and what has become a necessity in the modern home. For nearly 20 years, BIS, the official tradeshow of the Building Industry Association of Southern California has been the number one tradeshow for the region’s building industry professionals.KTGY’s principal Ken Ryan will be a speaker at the BIS session “Going Abroad for Business Development,” on Thursday, November 15, from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon in Room 101B. Ryan will discuss what to expect when doing business in international markets, along with current and future opportunities in the global economy.
Ryan heads up KTGY’s Community Planning and Urban Design Studio providing expertise in master planned communities, urban design, mixed-use/regeneration, resort/recreation, strategic planning and entitlement services. He also is a Past Mayor of the City of Yorba Linda, and was one of three representatives from the United States invited to participate in an International Roundtable at the SINO-International Real Estate Conference in Shanghai China last year.
Also on November 15, from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm in Room 101B, KTGY’s CEO Tricia Esser will be a speaker at the BIS session “Building on Mars & Venus: Communication Tips for Women in the Building Industry.” Esser will provide useful communication tips and skills that will teach attendees how to cope with issues that exist on and off the construction job-site.

On Friday, November 16, from 10:00 am – 11:30 am in Room 101B, KTGY Principal David Kent will be the moderator at the BIS session “Design Trends.” Kent will moderate the discussion about today’s ever changing market and the new design trends that are creating successful projects. The panel of experts will also cover site selection, building efficiencies and product presentation.
Kent has been with KTGY since 1995 and has over 25 years of architectural and construction experience. Kent’s technical knowledge of construction, project scheduling and governmental processing brings valuable insight to his architectural work, which is reflected in the success and awards won by many of the projects he has been involved with. Kent’s current focus is in the Inland Empire where he works with developers to create new residential communities.
Also on November 16, from 10:30 am – 12:00 noon in Room 102A, KTGY’s principal Damian Taitano will be a speaker at the BIS session “Cost Implications of New Building Codes.” Taitano will explain the new building code strategies, opportunities and challenges with a focus on site and building design and construction cost impacts for Type V residential.
Taitano is responsible for conceptual planning and schematic architecture to construction details on projects throughout California. Taitano’s primary role is to ensure each project has clear direction and communication between the consultants, clients and relevant jurisdictions as it applies to each site. He leads a team who focuses on in-fill projects ranging from 10 to 40 du/ac. Prior to joining KTGY, Taitano was involved in the development of thousands of new residences while a member of the in-house architecture department of an international corporate home builder.
