Wayburn Dean, Double Grammy Nominee and Multi-Platinum Musician, to Perform in Batavia NY

Grand Rapids, MI – October 20, 2007 – Wayburn Dean, Contemporary Christian/Pop singer, is scheduled to perform on November 10th and 11th at Northgate Church in Batavia, NY. Known around the world for his five-year stint as the lead vocalist of the celebrated group Acappella, Dean embarked on a solo career in 2002. Since then, he has released two recordings, including his most recent CD Immeasurable, which secured three “Top 10 Singles” nationwide and has received considerable airtime in the Batavia area as well.

“The first time I heard Wayburn’s music, I was deeply moved and knew he was the caliber of musician that our community would love to hear. His music is uplifting and appropriate for people of all ages,” said Andy Sass, Northgate’s senior pastor. “Dean’s soulful voice and powerful lyrics bridge many styles of music including adult contemporary, pop, urban and Christian. There will truly be a little something for everyone.”

When asked why he chose this area to perform, Dean replied, “I’ve received several emails and letters from listeners in the Batavia, Buffalo and Rochester areas, telling me how the music has changed or made a difference in their lives. I am very honored to be able to share my music and connect with these individuals directly.”

In addition to performing songs from past recordings, including songs from his Christmas CD Peace Child, Dean will also debut songs from Through the Rain. The CD is scheduled for release in February of 2008, and Batavia is one of the first communities to get a preview before the rest of the world hears it.

The concerts will take place at the Northgate Church, 8160 Bank Street Road, Batavia, NY, on November 10th at 6:00 pm (concert only) and during church services at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on November 11th (concert and worship set). Northgate is sponsoring these concerts. Everyone is welcome to attend and admission is free.

Healed from this major illness, and with the influence of his loving mother, Dean has spent his life dedicated to his Christian faith.
