Due to its enhanced and intuitive user interface, new personalization features (such as My Jukebox) and abundant selection of popular karaoke songs, CHT has achieved significant growth with its new KOD service. The new service successfully reached over 300,000 hits in the first month since launch and becomes a leading pay-TV service, making considerable contributions to CHT¡¦s overall IPTV revenues. Chunghwa Telecom is Taiwan¡¦s incumbent carrier, with 95% network coverage and 4 million broadband subscribers. The company is also one of the world's largest IPTV service operators with over 350,000 subscribers. CHT is planning to engage in an intensive marketing program to promote this exciting home KOD entertainment service. Two packages are available: pay-per-song for NT$5 or unlimited song ordering per Karaoke club per month for NT$100. (Currently, there are three Karaoke clubs with over 8,000 karaoke songs available.)
