oh2 Medical Spa and Vein Removal Center Set to Open Doors in December

Atlanta, GA – OH2 Medical Spa is the newest project from Atlanta based team, Dr. Randy Rudderman and Dr. Darrell Caudill. After more than 40 years of practicing complex and invasive medical procedures, the plastic and thoracic surgeons are taking on varicose vein disease, an issue affecting over 40% of women and 25% of men. It was clear there was not nearly enough attention being paid to such a prominent and common problem.

This ultra-modern spa-like oasis will specialize in a new painless treatment for varicose veins known as EVLT, or EndoVenous Laser Treatment. The spa also offers countless other amenities including scelerotherapy, skin rejuvenation and hair removal with IPL technology.

The idea behind the project arose after Dr. Caudill saw EVLT employed for the first time in Phoenix, Arizona. Already a seasoned veteran in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, he had become extremely knowledgeable on the venous system.

Additionally, Dr. Caudill was keenly aware of the extreme pain and long recovery time associated with traditional vein stripping surgeries.

The current treatment centers available to patients seemed cold and uninviting. According to Caudill, there simply wasn’t an option available that addressed both the cosmetic and medical aspect of vein disease.

“When presented with a painless, out-patient alternative to such an intense surgery, I leapt at the opportunity,” says Dr. Caudill. “It was instantly clear this was something we needed to address.”

He immediately called on the expertise of plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Randy Rudderman, who brings both a skilled technical and artistic approach to oh2. Parlaying their respective surgical expertise, Drs. Caudill and Rudderman began plans to offer the women and men of Atlanta this innovative alternative in the form of the oh2 Medical Spa.

“We were excited about bringing something like EVLT to Atlanta,” says Dr. Rudderman. “But our vision was about more than ‘treating symptoms’; it was about providing patients with an unparalleled experience. We didn’t want visitors to feel like they were in a cold, sterile medical facility, so we carefully planned the spa’s ambiance down to the very last detail.”

No detail was overlooked in the construction of oh2. It is clear that both doctors bring an artistic eye to not only their practice and patients, but their surroundings as well. Breathtaking views of Atlanta provide a spacious setting for the display of photographer Parish Kohanim’s world-renowned artwork. Upon entering oh2, visitors are surrounded by flat panel displays, modern design inspired lighting and plush couches. Oh2 even provides women with a comfortable lounge to chat and relax before or after a treatment.
