Sunny Arizona Cities Chandler, Mesa and Tempe Announce New Amenities and Things to do in Arizona as Allegiant Air adds Air Service to Local Airport

Tempe, AZ – October 18, 2007 – As temperatures cool down, the Sunny Arizona (www.visitsunnyaz.com) cities of Chandler, Mesa and Tempe are ready to take off. Located on the east side of the Phoenix metropolitan area, Sunny Arizona has a new alternative to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. To make arriving in the area even easier, new air service from Allegiant Air has begun at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

Allegiant Air currently serves more than 50 cities in the United States and has established Mesa as a hub, with a mission to link smaller U.S. cities to world-class sun destinations. Allegiant Air has already announced flights from Mesa to Rockford, Illinois; Rapid City, South Dakota and Missoula, Montana. Ten more routes will be announced in upcoming weeks. The low-cost airline currently flies to 53 destinations including cities in California, Washington, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Oregon, Indiana and Iowa.

The latest Allegiant Air service compliments new amenities and things to do in Arizona such as the Tempe Center for the Arts, Mesa’s expansive Arizona Museum of Natural History, Tempe Marketplace, Bass Pro Shops at Mesa Riverview and a host of new tasty restaurants in Historic Downtown Chandler.
