Established in 1996, the annual gala is the region’s most prestigious recognition of top business leadership in economic development.

The 12th Annual Eddy Awards® will be held on Tuesday, November 6th, 2007 at the Beverly Hilton. Northrop Grumman Corporation’s Chairman and CEO, Dr. Ronald Sugar, will accept the award.

“Northrop Grumman displays outstanding economic development leadership and corporate citizenship,” said Bill Allen, LAEDC president and CEO. “They provide high quality jobs for the Los Angeles County area, and their commitment to educating and training our future workforce ensures that we will continue to nurture and grow our region’s economic prosperity.”

“Northrop Grumman is committed to national and local issues that have a big economic impact on their surrounding communities,” continued Allen. “They maintain a powerful commitment to programs that improve education, human services and culture and that address diversity through the Northrop Grumman Foundation and Charitable Giving program. They’re dedicated to educating the future leaders of tomorrow through their support and donations to educational programs throughout the communities in which they live.”

In addition to recognizing Northrop Grumman and a second honoree, the LAEDC will present the winner of the 2nd Annual “Most Business Friendly City” award to one of the six finalists: Burbank, Cerritos, Lancaster, Long Beach, Palmdale and Santa Clarita.
