CLIFTON INGRAM INTEGRATES WINSCRIBE WITH VIDESS LEGAL OFFICE FOR STREAMLINED WORK FLOW

Clifton Ingram, Thames Valley’s long established legal firm, is integrating WinScribe digital dictation with Legal Office document management system from Videss.

Already convinced of the benefits of digital dictation to better manage workload and allocate resource, Clifton Ingram saw an opportunity to ensure seamless workflow by marrying-up WinScribe with Videss’s Legal Office. It can now pull together dictation, information and reports from many sources and bring them together in a single display on individual PCs.

Jim Paterson, practice manager at Clifton Ingram explains, “We are continuously looking at ways to improve our processes. Having these two systems work in sync rather than in isolation has offered a simple solution to improve efficiency by ultimately saving time and improving accuracy. It will enable us to achieve a faster case turnaround and a greater degree of consistency in the application of specific case-handling guidelines for individual clients.”

Paterson continues “Dictation can now be instigated from within the Legal Office case management application and the resulting transcription is then returned and stored at the press of a button. This gives a single, centralised source of information, avoiding duplication and inconsistencies.”

Secretaries can now organise and automate the entire process of transcription without wasting time having to combine the dictation with the relevant client information. By simply entering the case number, they can access the dictation file along with the supporting client details and other relevant documents sitting in the Legal Office system. This allows secretaries to work faster and more effectively with the added assurance that all client details are accurate and correct.
