The week concludes with a triple-header line-up of high school football featuring, "The Battle for Maverick Stadium" on Friday October 19th. The 5A state-ranked #9 Bowie Volunteers (6-0) battle the Colts of Arlington High. Both teams have been playing their home games at University of Texas at Arlington for a few years and it’s always a war on the field for bragging rights of UTA Maverick Stadium. The Vikings of Lamar High are at home to host Cyrus Gray and the Eagles of DeSoto. This match-up pits the Eagles speed against the Vikes stingy defense and will determine who will be in the running for a District 8-5A title or play-off berth. Penny Entertainment continues their coverage of area ranked teams when Class 4A #16 ranked Tigers of Corsicana (4-2) visit the Cougars of Seguin High. Seguin circled this game on their calendars from the beginning of the season because this time last year Corsicana knocked them out of the play-off picture. All games start @ 7:30PM CST.
