Hopkinton resident wins "Millionaire for a Night" Charity Fundraiser

Sheila Kester of Hopkinton was the lucky winner of the "Millionaire for a Night" Charity Fundraiser. The event raised over $6,000 for ten local charities. Kester will now have the pleasure of hosting a party for 50 of her closest friends in one of Hopkinton's finest homes.Meyer Homes, a Hopkinton, MA-based design/build firm specializing in building upscale homes and communities, sponsored the contest and offered the prize of a party at a sprawling, elegant $1.85 million Hopkinton mansion as a fundraising tool for area charities. Ten local nonprofit organizations sold raffle tickets for a chance to win a night filled with food, drink and opulence. The entire $6,000 that was raised will be give directly to the charities.
The contest culminated at the Hopkinton Police Station and Police Chief Tom Irvin did the honors of pulling the winning ticket out of a bucket.
Kester noted that the Millionaire for the Night party will be held some time in the next few weeks.
Participating non-profit organizations included Ovations for the Cure of Ovarian Cancer of Natick, MA; American Legion Post 191of Sudbury, MA; American Legion Post 77 of Ashland, MA; Easter Seals of Sherborn, MA, sponsored by Century 21 Peases Countryside; Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton, MA; Hopkinton Public Library of Hopkinton, MA; Hopkinton Historical Society of Hopkinton, MA; Hopkinton PTA of Hopkinton, MA; Hopkinton Garden Club of Hopkinton, MA; and Friends of the Common of Hopkinton, MA.
