Oregon City, OR- October 12, 2007 - The Institute for Senior Living Education (ISLE-ed) has announced the release of a new, convenient shopping cart feature for aQuire Training Solutions, ISLE-ed's product designed especially for caregivers and frontline senior care staff. For the first time aQuire courses are available for individual purchase. All aQuire courses are approved under Nurse Aide Certification (NAC) #7002 in the State of California.
"Caregivers, housekeepers, activity directors and other frontline employees are the people who have daily, hands-on contact with residents in assisted living and nursing communities," says Sharon K. Brothers, MSW, President and CEO of ISLE-ed.
"Equipping them to do the best possible job they can is our passion and our company's mission," continues Brothers. "In fact, we'll go to just about any lengths to make this training accessible to the people who need it most. With the new aQuire 'a la carte' you can buy individual courses, complete them at your own speed, and print your certificates as you go."
aQuire Training Solutions (www.aQuireTraining.com) no longer requires a contract or a long-term commitment, and will streamline the start-up process to help communities offer this training to employees within days of sign-up. For even more convenient training, now customers can purchase individual courses to stay current with specific care-giving concepts.
Using a game-based approach to training is an intentional concept designed not only to increase the enjoyment and engagement of learners, but also to improve retention and build skills more quickly, proven results of repetitive learning games.
Unique courses designed for staff in community based care settings like Assisted Living and Residential Care also set aQuire apart from other online staff training programs.
"Several products are available and specifically designed for nursing home staff," comments Brothers. "Recognizing both the growth of assisted living, and the public's preference for home-like care settings, our courses are designed to promote a less medical and more personalized approach to caregiving. We support the move to a culture change that focuses on the individual, not the facility."
Courses are written by an instructor team consisting of nurses, restorative therapists, testing and education specialists and experienced senior care administrators. California has approved all courses for CNA continuing education; other states approve the courses for inservice and staff training requirements.
Specializations are offered in Alzheimer's and Memory Care through the 22 course series on this topic. Just this month aQuire also added courses on Food and Nutrition, First Aid, and coping with Death and Dying.
"Custom courses and game sets are readily available as well," Brothers says. "Companies working to build a unique service culture and approach to care can now quickly and easily build their own courses and offer them to employees through aQuire."
