XCome Powers Chunghwa Telecoms Windows Live Messenger for Mobile- Bringing Mobile IM into a New Era

Taipei, Taiwan- Oct 11, 2007- XCome Technology, a mobile services provider and global technology partner of Microsoft Taiwan announced today the launch of the Java edition of Windows Live Messenger for mobile on Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan's number one mobile operator. This service is distinctive from other mobile IM offerings in that it spans handsets (from low-end to high end) and crosses platforms enabling mobile to mobile as well as mobile to PC communications. Additionally, Chunghwa Telecom is offering a promotional flat-rate monthly fee of less than $3 USD/month. This price scheme alleviates per IM message charging and will promote usage of the service, which is a mobile IM industry first in the Taiwan market.

In XCome's partnership with Microsoft Taiwan to launch the Java edition of the Windows Live Messenger for mobile service to mobile carriers such as Chunghwa Telecom, users will be automatically upgraded to the latest edition of the cell-phone software which is as seamless as the PC software experience.

Supporting well-received features such as offering 65 of the most popular emoticons, XCome will continue to provide innovative features. In the next year, Windows Live Messenger for mobile will support features such as file transfer, Hotmail, and blogs.
