Compare the Fuel Economy Ratings of Craigslist Cars

Introducing a new (free) web site called the Fuel Economy Database (http://fueleconomy.weblite.ca) that offers searchable fuel economy ratings as well as related Craigslist ads, so that consumers can do all of their shopping and comparisons in one place. The Fuel Economy Database was developed by Web Lite Solutions, a company that specializes in web based information system design, in response to the search habits of car consumers. North Americans are becoming increasingly environmentally conscious in recent years due to the threat of global warming and the rising price of gasoline, so the fuel economy ratings of prospective vehicles are of utmost importance.

Web Lite noticed that users were often keeping two browser windows open at a time when doing car shopping: one window on Craigslist, and the other on fueleconomy.gov (or some other site that provides fuel economy ratings), so they decided to merge the two into one tool so that users could browse the classifieds and see the fuel economy ratings of the cars for sale right on the same page.

The Fuel Economy Database allows user to search for cars by make, model, power, and gas mileage as well as several other characteristics. For those who like to make their own spreadsheets, it allows users to export their search results as an Excel spreadsheet or as XML.
