North Carolina Aspiring Record Producer Brings Elite Group of Music Industry Professionals to Local Music Scene

Raleigh, N.C. (October 23, 2007) - Calvin Matthews of The Industry Connect recently announced October 23 as the debut of the Music Industry Networking Connection, the first of many monthly networking opportunities for aspiring artists and entrepreneurs to interact with elite music industry professionals. As an aspiring Record Producer, Matthews recognized the void in North Carolina's developing music scene, of an exclusive and consistent networking medium for local artists, producers, d.j.s, managers and entrepreneurs. "My goal is to create an atmosphere that allows individuals in the local music industry to forge solid business relationships and share information. A well-informed music community that is well-connected can make a stronger impact on the local and mainstream industry, as felt most recently by the Atlanta music scene. I anticipate the Industry Connect effort to play a major role in establishing North Carolina as a solid force with the music business," states Matthews.
As with any profession, networking is a key ingredient in the recipe for success. The Industry Connect events will provide an intimate atmosphere for local music artists and entrepreneurs to have one-on-one sessions with major label A&R's, Entertainment Attorney's, Radio Programmers among other key professionals. This month's edition will be held at Prime Only Steak, Seafood and Sushi Bar, on 505 West Jones Street in Raleigh, North Carolina and is scheduled to begin at 7p.m. This month’s guests will include: Chris Anokute- A&R Virgin Records, Cameron Russell- Entertainment Attorney (Rihanna), Ian Schreier- Osceola Studios, Dick Hodgin- Osceola Studios, Amy Cox- Manager Deep South Ent., Will Hackney, and more guests to be announced.
