October 05, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Greeley, Colo. – October 5, 2007 – Bank of Choice today announced a strategic partnership with Denver-based ID Watchdog, the nation’s only company that provides true 360-degree detection, protection and resolution services for identity theft. The new service, called ChoiceSecure, allows Bank of Choice to provide full-service identity theft resolution assistance free of charge to any personal checking account depositor through ID Watchdog. In addition, Bank of Choice will also offer a fee-based monthly service, ChoiceWatch, which will provide real-time identity theft monitoring to alert its customers of any instances of identity manipulation.
“ID fraud and ID theft is an insidious crime that affects 10 million people a year,” said Darrell McAllister, CEO of Bank of Choice. “Bank of Choice is focused on our customers’ financial well being and our new identity theft solutions – ChoiceSecure and ChoiceWatch – will give them peace of mind. They will have assistance defending themselves from identity theft.”
McAllister continued, “Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in America today. In addition to the immediate financial complications, it can take hundreds of hours before an incident of ID fraud or theft is resolved. ChoiceSecure will give our customers the advantage of having ID Watchdog work on their behalf to resolve all instances of theft or fraud at no charge to the customer. ChoiceWatch is an added option we will offer our customers.”
While many companies offer identity theft protection products, they typically focus solely on the information contained in consumer credit reports. Since identity records are made up of pieces of personal information stored in thousands of databases, this approach leaves consumers vulnerable to identity theft in numerous other areas, including motor vehicle records, criminal files, health
and insurance databases, tax records, public service records and others. ChoiceWatch, through ID Watchdog, monitors Bank of Choice clients’ personal information in all of these areas – as well as the financial reporting services – thus protecting its customers to the highest degree possible.
“Bank of Choice recognized the genuine need and desire by its clients to protect their personal information,” said Justin Yurek, president of ID Watchdog. “Our strategic partnership gives Bank of Choice the ability to offer the most comprehensive identity resolution, detection and monitoring services to its clients on the market today.”
