L&T Infotech announces support for picoChip's customers on WiMAX PHY

Chicago, October 5, 2007: L&T Infotech and picoChip have entered into a strategic partnership on WiMAX (802.16 d and 802.16 e) PHY. The company announced this in Chicago during recently held WiMAX World USA 2007. As part of this partnership model, L&T Infotech will provide extended PHY customization support to picoChip’s clients as well as enable manufacturers to apply the performance of the picoArray to other wireless systems and to develop new applications.

Customers in the picoChip ecosystem will benefit by leveraging L&T Infotech’s WiMAX capabilities and ability to ramp-up larger teams to address customization requirements. L&T Infotech will create the necessary infrastructure support at India (Offshore) including lab creation for end-to-end WiMAX support and for other wireless standards.
