(The Internet Defense Force is Calyptix Security’s patent pending process to leverage real time detection and analysis of distributed network data to provide scalable Internet security without signatures.)
Calyptix Security, launched in 2001 by Drs. Yuliang Zheng and Lawrence Teo, is commercializing technology developed in connection with Lawrence Teo’s doctoral thesis which focused on developing a scalable decentralized Internet security architecture. The company has progressed from dissertation to deployment, making AccessEnforcer available to small to medium size businesses (SMBs), providing a comprehensive affordable solution that is easily activated, managed and maintained.
AccessEnforcer protects networks from spam, viruses, spyware, unauthorized web surfing, hackers and other cyber threats in organizations in the professional and financial services, manufacturing and not-for-profit sectors. The appliance is offered by authorized resellers that seek comprehensive security strategies for their clients. Calyptix’ expertise is evidenced in several industry-wide vulnerability discoveries and in DyVax™, the company’s proprietary inspection engine that dynamically filters email traffic, executables and Microsoft files from true zero-day threats without reliance on signatures. DyVax has proven more successful than leading antivirus solutions.
