Meridian picks Intermedia for PR

Chester-based marketing communications consultancy, Intermedia, has been appointed by Meridian Business Support, one of the UK’s fastest growing recruitment specialists, to handle national trade and consumer PR. Meridian Business Support, based in Altrincham, Cheshire, is a £110 million turnover business with over 85 branches nationally and is dedicated to providing a professional recruitment and human resource management service to all business and industry sectors, such as construction, education, international and health.

The agency was handed the account without a pitch, and will be developing a national integrated PR strategy incorporating corporate social responsibility, trade communications, consumer media liaison and tactical news generation.

Intermedia’s PR team is headed up by Kate Cox, she will be working closely with Meridian’s Marketing Manager, Jo McNamara, who said: “We have an extremely ambitious growth plan over the coming months, the business is aiming to turnover £200 million by 2010. With such a proactive development programme, we needed a dedicated, results-driven agency to generate a fast-paced media communications campaign. Intermedia has the creativity and focused resource to achieve real hard-hitting results.”
