Ryan Vartoogian Honored In First 10 Over the Next 10 Award

Lansing, Michigan- The Lansing Regional Chamber, The Greater Lansing Business Monthly and the Grand River Connection have partnered to recognize "10 Over the next 10". This program honored Ryan Vartoogian president of Spartan Internet Consulting as one of 10 area top young professionals who, over the next 10 years, will contribute significantly to the Lansing community and become tomorrow's leaders. This was the first year the award was given. "I am honored to be recognized as one of the 10 Over the Next 10. A lot of good things are happening here in Lansing and it’s great to see the community recognizing young professionals like this.” said Ryan Vartoogian.

Ryan is a native of Livonia, Michigan and came to East Lansing to attend Michigan State University in 1995. In 1997 while attending Michigan State University in his sophomore year he founded Spartan Internet Consulting Corp. At the time the Internet was still very new and most people got online through dial-up. In 2006 Vartoogian doubled the office space in Lansing as well doubled staff. Spartan Internet then developed one of the first Jr. Internet Marketing Consulting program for college students to learn about the emerging business consulting field of Internet Consulting. In 2007 Spartan Internet also launched the first-ever Internet-wide Performance Index for the 2008 Presidential campaign.

Spartan Internet recently purchased the 32,000sq foot former Holmes Street Elementary School in Lansing. In addition to creating a new corporate headquarters Vartoogian is working with faculty from Michigan State University to form the Information Technology Empowerment Center (ITEC – Lansing) to be opened on the first floor of the building. “This will provide young people within the region the opportunity to learn about information technology and prepare them for future careers in the field. I am very committed to Lansing and helping to strengthen the community though outreach to encourage entrepreneurship and interest in the field of Internet consulting." said Vartoogian.
