Traverse City, MI September 20, 2007 – 6060 Publications, a Michigan based social-marketing and publishing group with offices in Traverse City and Ann Arbor, announces the release of a new series of lifestyle publications for newspapers, designed to help meet the present interests and future needs of adult children, 60 and over, and their aging parents. “We are working to help newspapers strengthen their connection with readers by taking the lead in the national age-readiness conversation, and promoting more livable or transformational communities,” says 6060 President, Mary Catherine Kelly. http://60-60.net
Michigan is currently demonstrating 5 national age-readiness community models in Traverse City, Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Gaylord. Michigan’s leadership, strategies and outcomes will help other states across the nation cope with the coming age wave.
“America is coming of age! 78 million Baby Boomers are turning 62 next year and they are poised to change the world with their tremendous economic, political and financial clout. The over 60 crowd will revolutionize the way we live, shop, travel, plan and think – about nearly everything,” says 6060 national spokesperson, Lynn Alexander. http://youragingwelladvisor.com
6060 Publications will guide readers, newspapers and their advertisers through this maze of opportunities with a beautiful full color, glossy, expertly written, and thoughtfully designed series of six bi-monthly news magazines that are co-branded by 6060 newspaper partners.
The national launch of 6060 Publications takes place at the National Newspaper Association (NNA) conference in Norfolk, Virginia on September 27-29, 2007. NNA will be the first chance for newspaper executives to view the 6060 product, learn about the unique revenue sharing model, and sign on for partnership commitments with 6060.
The Michigan Launch will take place on Friday, November 9th at the Haggerty Center in Traverse City, Michigan. The launch stage will be shared with the first newspaper to sign on as a partner with 6060, the Traverse City Record Eagle.
“This is a dynamic partnership that will advance the conversation on aging at all levels and accelerate positive change,” says Derek Mehraban, VP Marketing for 6060 Publications and President of Ingenex Group, a generational marketing firm. http://ingenexgroup.com
