A new service on the World Wide Web enables small business owners- and other entrepreneurial ventures - to market their products using the Internet. Flexoweb™, found at http://www.flexoweb.com, provides a managed e-commerce web application as a real-time solution to business owners without requiring them to have any technical expertise. The Flexoweb Store Front™, provides resources not only to information about the seller’s product lines, (including high-quality photographs and detailed descriptions) but allows potential buyers to place their order online and pay via credit card or line-of-credit using a secured web page. "Flexoweb offers a seller the ability to market their products worldwide without having to leave their desks," said the application's creator, Lawrence Wiener, a programming and development veteran with over 23 years’ experience.
The application is designed to offer greater breadth and scope than similar online store sites, Wiener said. "Unlike other online stores, Flexoweb doesn't just provide pictures of products for sale; it provides content and links to help a buyer make the decision to purchase the product," he said. “The finished web pages are totally customized by the subscriber, allowing them to make as unique a statement as they wish, without having to adhere to requirements for formats, banner ad placements, and so on. Other online stores do not allow such flexibility. Most of them only allow a pre-approved homogenized web page template.” Wiener noted that the frequently updated site is also the only one to provide a set of comprehensive tools for the seller to build their web pages without requiring the installation of programs on the seller’s computer.
“We also offer full technical support to all of our clients,” Wiener continued, “we have a dedicated staff of highly experienced designers and engineers available to work with our subscribers until their web site is done to their satisfaction.” From the comfort of their homes or offices, subscribers can, for example, post a new product’s information or edit an existing listing, thus vastly expanding the exposure their products get in today’s competitive markets. "They can also identify which geographic locations they are willing to ship their products to," Wiener said, "as well as create rules which would calculate bulk or seasonal discounts, shipping charges, savings incentives, and so on."
Wiener, along with his partner, Rose Jordan, own and operate a Network Systems Consultancy in New York City. He developed the application after seeing many of his associates struggle to launch their product lines, often wasting valuable time and money on other web-based storefronts before giving up on the project and sticking to more traditional advertising and marketing venues.
Already serving over 20 subscribers, Flexoweb™ shows amazing potential as a highly serviceable, low-cost solution to the small-business owner’s need to expand their market reach.
