On September 19th, 2007 at 12:00 PM CDT (-5GMT) in a much anticipated event, The nv.com Registry, LLC (http://nv.com) will be offering open global registrations of domain names under the nv.com root name allowing anyone the opportunity to register generic or premium domain names on a worldwide basis.

"Nevada is a thriving state and is home to the entertainment capital of the world," said Shane Kinsch, the Registry's Chief Executive Officer. "Opening up the Registry to the world gives everyone the opportunity to register a premium nv.com domain." Recently launched on August 1st for Nevada, initial registrations "substantially exceeded expectations," Kinsch says.

These domain names appeal to companies and businesses that do business in Nevada, but does not have any geographic limitations. The unrestricted nv.com domain can also be used to uniquely represent "Naamloze Vennootschap" (NV) Netherlands registered Limited Liability Companies.

Some examples of registrations are LasVegas.NV.com, Travel.NV.com, Tickets.NV.com and RealEstate.NV.com.

In order to prepare for the global launch, the nv.com Registry is recommending that businesses and organizations start now to review their U.S. and International trademark portfolios to identify potential names to register. They also recommend solidifying strategies for registration as all registrations will happen on a first come first served basis. There will be no restrictions on the number of domain names that can be registered. Global registrations will not be limited to a geographic location.

The Registry also strongly advises current Nevada businesses, organizations, companies or individuals to register their domain names before the September 19th global launch.
