Poughkeepsie, NY (September 19 , 2007) –The Business Marketing Association of the Hudson Valley (BMA-HV) is proud to announce that with summer behind them, they are fully ready to get back to the hard but rewarding work of garnering success. To ensure they start off on the right foot, they have invited nationally renowned marketing guru Richard Kean to their September 25 meeting. Kean, who presided over the BMA-HV’s very first meeting back in March 2004, is the creator and managing director of the Business Marketing Institute (BMI) and the associate director of the Institute for the Study of Business Markets (ISBM). The September 25 meeting will take place at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Kean’s topic will be “Getting Marketing Back to Making Sales.”Says Bud Clarke, BMA-HV President, “To say that Kean’s knowledge of B2B marketing is encyclopedic is an understatement. He has been a major player at the national level all his career life. In addition to his work with BMA, BMI and ISBM, he has served as Group Publisher of American Marketing Association publications, which is the preeminent publisher in the field of marketing, and the VP /Publisher for various Crain Communications’ publications. Luckily for us, in addition to all that he knows, he is a superb educator, and he is very enthusiastic about sharing his comprehensive marketing knowledge. Having him here to kickoff our post-summer season presents an enormous opportunity for all of us.”
Kean will share with BMA-HV participants the most important of the B2B marketing skills, techniques and core principles he has learned (or in some cases, initiated) over the years. Among other things, participants will learn the nine most important ways to improve sales response; proven approaches to writing copy that sells; key techniques to improve the execution of marketing projects; and how to use ‘show what you know’ techniques to beat the competition.
McCabe & Mack LLP, whose practice includes banking and secured lending; commercial litigation; corporate law, matrimonial and family law; traffic law; personal injury, and more will sponsor the September 25 meeting. The attorneys at McCabe and Mack serve clients throughout the Hudson Valley and appear regularly in court and before boards of regulatory bodies in New York City and the Albany area as well.
In addition to the eagerly anticipated presentation by Richard Keen, a brief chapter business meeting will precede the September 25 evening’s program for all members.
Interested marketing professionals and those involved in marketing decision-making who wish to learn more about BMA-HV are encouraged to attend the September 25 meeting. The registration fee, which includes dinner, is $35 for members, $40 for chamber affiliates, $45 for non-members.
