Carrentals.co.uk Speeds up Growth with Appointment of ex-Holiday Autos Manager

September 2007 – Price comparison website www.carrentals.co.uk is strengthening its position in the car hire market with the appointment of Debbie Sowden as its Head of Supplier Relations.

Debbie joins Carrentals.co.uk from Holiday Autos, where she worked for nine years in a variety of sales roles before being appointed Acting Commercial Director in 2006 with responsibility for sales across the travel trade and B2B areas of the business. Prior to this Debbie worked with North American specialist Getaway Vacations and Lunn Poly.

In her new role Debbie will manage the strategic development of business with the 45 car hire companies currently featured on the Carrentals.co.uk site and establish agreements with new suppliers to support the company’s plans for growth.

Debbie will also be co-ordinating activity with ex-Opodo manager Claire Hayes, who joined Carrentals.co.uk last month.
