Get Your Back up Off the Wall It's Time for a Prevention Revolution

In 2005, according to the Urban Institute, statewide about 2.5 million New Yorkers were uninsured. In response to this crisis, Just Us Women Productions, LLC has created a new Wellness Studio located in the heart of New Rochelle at 364 North Avenue.

Traditionally, health programs have focused on disease management often not putting enough value on an individual’s strengths. As we move into a healthcare system that is increasingly becoming consumer directed, the time is right for you to learn how to master your wellness and begin a revolution of prevention. Conveniently located, the Wellness Studio will offer residents a place to learn about non-traditional, non-medicinal ways to take care of themselves and their families. This will include: managing daily stress, aromatherapy, infant nutrition, wellness coaching, dancing for womb health, and more! Also at this location is the newly formed Dance Theatre of New Rochelle (DTNR), founded by Rashelle Mansfield. DTNR will teach students ages toddler to adulthood about healthy living by way of hip-hop, jazz, and other forms of dance.
An open house party will be held on Saturday, October 6th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm allowing residents to chat with instructors over free refreshments. Attendees who have not done so already will have an opportunity to register on-site for Fall Workshops. Membership fees of only 99 cents will be charged when registering. A free raffle will be held for those who attend and present the postcard invitation which was previously mailed and can be found around town.
The Wellness Studio is the spiritual vision of Tamara Wrenn. Tamara Wrenn, a New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce member, is a Certified Childbirth Educator and pre and post-natal fitness instructor. In the pursuit of wellness, she is studying to become a certified Wellness Coach through Well Coaches.
