Antique & Vintage Woods Of America Celebrates Grand Opening Of New Design Center In Pine Plains With 4-Day Open House - June 23-26, 2005

Pine Plains, NY: Antique & Vintage Woods of America will celebrate the opening of their new Design Center in Pine Plains, at 2818 West Church Street, with a 4-day Open House, June 23-26.“We expect this new Design Center to be a must see for builders, homeowners, decorators, architects and everyone who appreciates the finest quality custom wood flooring and beams for their homes,” said Antique and Vintage Woods of America’s Philip Salvatore.

This four-day event will herald the opening of the company’s Design Center complete with designer rooms using antique and vintage wood flooring in living areas for children, families, kitchens, living rooms and bathrooms, as well as instructional areas and meeting places for designers and clients alike.

On Thursday, June 23, from 5-7 PM, Ken Brown, Director of New Product Development for Antique & Vintage Woods of America, will provide an overview of the center and offer an instructional lecture on The Art of Distressing Wood Floors. Wine and cheese will be served.

On Friday, June 24, from 3-6 PM, guests are welcome to gather at the Antique and Vintage Woods of America new Design Center for coffee and pastry and to hear experts Mary Goderwis, of Sutherland Wells Ltd. (highly regarded manufacturer of wood stains), and Ken Brown discuss Enhancement of Patina through Coloration.

Saturday morning, June 25, coffee and pastry will be served beginning at 9 AM. At 10 AM, David Chittick, resident wood expert, will discuss Antique vs. Vintage Wood Flooring. At 10:30 AM, Mary Goderwis, Ken Brown and Andrew Phillips will talk about VOC Compliance Penetrating Oil Finishes.

On Sunday, June 26, from 1- 5 PM, everyone is welcome to visit the center, enjoy complimentary coffee and pastry and hear a General Discussion of Antique and Vintage Wood Floor Product Lines.

All who visit the new Antique & Vintage Woods of America Design Center during the four-day grand opening celebration will be eligible to win a dinner for two at the celebrated Stissing House Restaurant in Pine Plains.
