BTVco launches the first portable inflatable crib: the AirCrib

Williston, VT – BTVco – September 14, 2007 - New family travel products company, BTVco, makes its foray into the industry with the unveiling of a new technology for portable cribs. The AirCrib is an inflatable crib comprised of five individual chambers each with its own quick inflate/deflate valve. It is a safe and lightweight alternative to the traditional travel crib for families with infants and toddlers. Constructed of a rugged yet soft material, the AirCrib weighs in at 6 pounds and fits in an eleven inch stuff sack. Each AirCrib comes with a self inflating mattress, fitted sheet, and hand pump. Scott Hardy, President of BTVco and inventor of the AirCrib, developed the inflatable crib after traveling extensively with his wife and three small children. Says Hardy, “We were frustrated with our travel crib, it was heavy and difficult to pack so we usually ended up leaving it at home and then struggled for solutions at the destination.” Parents will have the option to either check the AirCrib inside their luggage without paying heavy or excess baggage fees or bring it as a carry on when traveling by air, an option that was not available with previous cribs. If parents opt to carry the AirCrib rather than check it then they will have a safe, clean environment for their child to play or nap in while in the airport terminal.
