Newest Release from Xerox - Xerox Phaser 8860

The Supplies Guys, a leading online ink and toner retailer, is pleased to announce that Xerox will soon present a new addition to the company’s laser printer Phaser line, to be named the Phaser 8860. While Xerox has yet not officially released the printer, it is likely to be the newest line aimed at complementing the company’s popular Phaser 8560 line that was released in June of this year.

Since the 8560 is a new release, printer experts at The Supplies Guys think it is unlikely that the Phaser 8860 will replace it or even occupy the same segment. However, the Phaser 8860 is likely to have higher performance and take on a higher class of printing needs. Many speculators think the competitive landscape indicates that Xerox needs a new addition to their more advanced printers. The 8860 will probably offer printing speeds of over 40 PPM in monochrome and color, and at least a 50% capacity boost over the 8560. Xerox needs to make this printer a solid performer for their higher-end lines.

The Supplies Guys is eagerly anticipating Xerox’s official announcement of the Phaser 8860, which may come in the next several months. “As an authorized reseller of Xerox brand printer consumables, we think Xerox makes very solid products, and we’re excited to start offering ink for the Phaser 8860,” said a Supplies Guys representative. He also thinks that the new printer is likely to facilitate Xerox’s proprietary solid ink technology, which uses solid ink sticks in place of complicated and messy toner cartridges. Solid ink has been proven to offer consistent results and vibrant colors in Xerox printers, and the forthcoming Xerox Phaser 8860 has potential produce those same high quality results.
