Castle Hills Raises Money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas with Local Fund raising Event

Castle Hills, a premier new Dallas Home Builder in North Texas, hosted , "One Enchanted Evening" a fund raiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas. The event took place in the formal garden of Enchanted Hill at Castle Hills. Guests enjoyed dinner, live music and dancing. The stunning garden was the perfect setting for a cocktail reception, dessert and the silent auction. While the total fund raising amount isn't yet in, the event was sold out and the silent auction items brought in more than $13,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas. The event was hosted by Castle Hills resident and former NBA basketball star Derek Harper. Harper brought his "Little Brother" Trevaughn Williams, who also served as junior MC and introduced his big brother, as his guest. Harper spoke of his commitment to the organization he had wished was around when he was growing up, and thanked all of the guests for their support of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Castle Hills developer Chris Bright thanked event sponsors Wachovia Bank, Republic Title of Texas, Utz Environmental Services, Stratford Group and Frito Lay, as well as the many generous auction donors.
Celebrating its 80th anniversary, Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas is a volunteer organization that provides support, guidance, friendship and fun by matching children to adult role models. The agency's mission is to enrich, encourage and empower children to reach their highest potential through safe, positive, mentoring relationships.
Charles Pierson, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas, summed up the evening when he said, "Tonight has definitely lived up to its name."
