Houston – Alden-Houston’s award-winning *17, along with Sotheby’s and Houston Modern Luxury, is pleased to announce a spectacular wine tasting dinner on Thursday, September 20th, at 7 p.m. The 5-course dinner, prepared by *17’s award-winning Executive Chef Ryan Pera,
offers a unique tasting opportunity for Houstonians to sample some of the world’s best wines.

“There’s fine wine and then there’s a fine wine experience,” said Ludovic Poirier, food and beverage operations manager for Alden-Houston. “This event offers Houstonians who are passionate about wine and food one of the finest wine and food experiences ever.” Wines
featured include such rare gems as Meursault, Domaine des Comtes Lafon, 2001, made from just three parcels in Meursault, with an average vine age of 32 years (vine age is important for
making great wines, the older the better).

Jamie Ritchie, Sotheby’s senior vice president and head of North American wine division, will preside over the evening’s festivities as guests taste Sotheby’s rare and fine wines while enjoying perfectly paired courses prepared by *17’s Chef Pera, recently nominated as “Houston’s Best
Up-and-Coming Chef.” “Jamie is intimately familiar with the wines presented and will be sharing
his knowledge, experiences and stories with our guests throughout the dinner,” said Poirier. “He will also be available to answer questions about building a wine portfolio, purchasing wines at auction and more."

The black tie event takes place on Alden-Houston’s veranda. Tickets are $270 per person, inclusive of all taxes and gratuities. Please do not delay in making reservations as there is limited
seating available. Special overnight room rate is $179, plus tax. For more information visit www.aldenhotels.com. For reservations, please email robbi.abshire@aldenhotels.com or call
