Woodland Owner Launch Online
June 17, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Woodland Owner are pleased to announce the launch of their new website, dedicated to helping the potential and seasoned private woodland owner. A few years ago, private woodland owners were a non-existent breed as the majority of the woodland for sale was larger acreage, usually in Scotland or Wales. More recently, smaller private woodlands have come up for sale and have been readily bought by the growing number of individuals wishing to return to mother-nature.
So Woodland Owner has been established to help the private woodland owner, starting with types of woodland available, where to buy and what to look for.
As Woodland Owner shows there are different types of woodland on offer but still only a relatively few specialist companies with woodland for sale.
Most individuals are looking for around 10 to 20 acres of woodland. Woodland for sale around the M25 or southeast is particularly hard to come by.
And is it only 'tree huggers' who are buying woodland? Woodland Owners shows that woodlands are purchased for a wide variety of pursuits including paintballing, badger watching, woodworkers and naturists.
For some, it is purely their own 'space' and a place to be at one with nature. Others utilise their woodland for more active pursuits including paint balling, cycling, archery and tree climbing.
Woodlands are also being bought by private investors, who have realized their popularity. Woodland Owner is, however, keen to point out that planning permission is not likely to be granted on woodlands. A caravan can be kept in a woodland for up to 28 days per year and non-permanent structures are acceptable, such as sheds or tree houses, if the owner fancies themselves as Tarzan.
Through education, Woodland Owner hopes to preserve England’s woodland heritage, which is now continually under threat. The sites demonstrates that there are very good ecological reasons for buying and replenishing woodland.
