September 11, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Politics News
Troubled by the polarized political environment, a 9/11 survivor has written an e-book, For a United America (ISBN: 0-9629165-4-4), and dedicated it to the victims. The book presents a roadmap to nonpartisanship to bring America together. It includes a special dedication to the firefighters and police who helped the author find his way out on that fateful day. Foregoing financial interests, the author will make the book available for free download at www.aAmerica.us on September 11, 2007.For a United America attempts to spark a national debate targeted at improving the American political system. It provides directions for establishing a uniform political order in which all political interests can have greater opportunity to work cohesively and overcome their political differences, and it explores ways to make the political system responsive to the needs of the Americans. The book identifies a number of political blockages that are clogging American democracy and suggests a number of ways for improvements.
For a United America includes proposals for closing the gap between constituents and representatives through citizen participation. It outlines how to fine-tune various congressional procedures so that partisanship is no longer a prime factor in decision-making in Congress. It also includes proposals to minimize inter-branch conflicts and state-federal conflicts by clarifying the gray areas of the Constitution. Finally, the book suggests how to make government crisis-resistant, particularly in the face of a terrorist event.
For a United America is an invitation to the people of the United States of America to find better ways to conduct politics and government. It is written as an open book in which the readers have the opportunity to contribute their ideas and become co-authors. The author has also submitted copies of the book to Congress, to the President, and to the 2008 presidential candidates.
