MEDIA RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASETULUM, Mexico (June 16, 2005) – A spiritual outlook helped Rev. Mark Pope survive seven years of incarceration for crimes he did not commit.
Now the charismatic speaker and teacher is bringing his philosophy on metaphysics, eastern and western mysticism to Tulum, in Mexico’s Mayan Riviera with two conferences at Cabanas Copal in November that focus on awakening grace within participants’ heart center.
His seven years of incarceration in reform schools, county jails, a locked psychiatric ward, and a maximum-security unit of the Texas penitentiary were to be great sources of spiritual learning and understanding. Participants in this inner and outer journey are guided into the experience of the awakening of the heart center and into the deepening of this experience of grace.
Pope has conducted and/or participated in pilgrimages to Peru, Greece, India, Scotland (Rosslyn Chapel), France, and the Hopi Reservation in northern Arizona. He has presented his work in England, Scotland and throughout the United States. He is a licensed and ordained Unity Minister and is the founder of The Awakening Heart Center, Inc. of Sedona, Arizona.
“Sacred places, symbols, meditation, simple ritual, sound/music, are gateways used to help participants pass into the transcendental experience,” explains Pope. “The awakening of the heart center allows people to pierce the veil of literal perceptions and appreciate the wondrous spiritual resources that seek expression through those called to this sacred journey. “
The powerful energy of the ancient Mayan culture which resonates in Tulum makes it a fitting site for the two seminars. The first course, entitled “Awakening the Heart” from Nov. 5-8, 2005 ($657 US), spiritually transforms participants by helping them access the divine love that flows from their own hearts, broadening understanding of compassion, innate harmony, unconditional love and healing. The second course, “The Healing Presence” from Nov. 9-11, 2005 ($497 US), teaches people to forgive, cast off judgments and expectations, and accept all life experiences as part of each individual’s sacred purpose. Attend both conferences for $997 US per person and save $157 US.
Prices include conference fee, lodging, ground transportation, breakfast and dinner, and non-alcoholic beverages. Prices are per person and based on double occupancy in a gardenview king cabana at Cabañas Copal. Seaview king and seaview quad cabanas , as well as luxury sea villas at Azulik are available for additional cost. To reserve call 866-424-6833, 512-393-3465 or email AwakeningHeart@Travelfrom.com.
