COWBOY’S FUZZY DUDS LAUNCH AT ASR SAN DIEGO

SAN DIEGO, Calif. –September 7, 2007 – The Original & Authentic Cowboy’s Fuzzy Duds (www.fuzzyduds.com) launch today in San Diego at the Action Sports Retail (ASR) show where the comfortable, outdoor adventure and athletic shorts make their official industry debut.

The Original & Authentic Cowboy’s Fuzzy Duds (visibly identified by the bright, yellow label on the bottom of the right leg) are soft and comfortable, made from 100% polyester fleece and will debut at ASR with 20 colorful designs, including cammo, skulls, hibiscus, plaid, solid, flares, tropical and stars. The Fuzz comes in adults and youth sizes along with a new women’s line called “Fuzzy Dukes” also debuting at ASR.

Steven “Cowboy” Johnson is a surfer, mountain bike racer, snowboarder and a Frisbee golfer. He has held many jobs in his 41 years, including working in a fireworks factory, on a shark boat, as a valet, in a surf shop, as an actor in Hollywood, as a bike mechanic and most recently as a fashion designer. And although he’s actually never been a cowboy, he has been a pioneer in bringing the Fuzzy Duds to market, putting all his money and efforts into the endeavor—he was living in a tent when he made his first pair. Cowboy actually made the first 1,200 Duds himself using sewing machines he borrowed from friends. He still processes every web order, but now has the Fuzz manufactured in San Francisco.

“Everywhere I wore them, people would come up to me. “Where did you get those shorts? Dude, those are the sickest shorts I’ve ever seen!” notes Cowboy. “For two years straight, I cut fuzz, made my shorts and sold them out of the back of my car. Surfers, bikers and boarders all came back with kind words. My inspiration to keep making them was genuinely the smiles I saw on people’s faces.”
