LA Podcasting Pioneers Join Forces for a Night of Comedy and Storytelling
September 06, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Los Angeles, CA - On Thursday, September 13, the M Bar (www.mbarhollywood.com) will host a night of storytelling and comedy by two LA based Podcasters and New Media pioneers, Tim Coyne of "The Hollywood Podcast" and Lance Anderson of "Verge of the Fringe" podcast. At 8pm, "The Hollywood Podcast Show" will feature Tim Coyne and comedians Bob Oschack (Comedy Central's "Premium Blend", Christina Moore ("Mad TV", "Without A Paddle"), and Ray Barnhart (Bible College Grad, recent retiree). In his podcast and on stage, Coyne is known for the honesty in which he talks about his life as a scooter driving/manny/actor/writer looking for love in Los Angeles. "It's exciting to think that this little club in a strip mall will host a performance that will reach thousands of listeners around the world. These new media tools have completely changed the landscape for people like me and Lance." Coyne said.
Then at 9:30, Los Angeles native Lance Anderson will perform "selected chapters" from his upcoming novel "King of the Boys." Based on stories performed on his podcast, it is an inside look at what it was like to grow-up in "The Valley" during the late sixties into the mid-eighties. From playing Little League Baseball with the son of Indiana Jones, to the bizarre ritual initiations that every boy must endure in one form or another.
Both shows will be recorded for future podcasts.

Tim puts his stories on stage regularly in LA and can be seen in the upcoming feature film "Crossing Over", starring Harrison Ford, Sean Penn, Ray Liotta, and Ashley Judd.
