Remember the fanciful and magical sound of Vince Guaraldi’s music for the Charlie Brown specials? How about the complex harmonic tendencies of Bill Evans and the feeling of a Jazz Waltz? Well, Curtis Macdonald has put together these influences and created “Cheshire Moon”.

With it’s positive, yet somewhat melancholy attitude, this collection of New Modern Day Jazz Standards with their memorable melodies and improvised lyrical piano solos surrounded by a wash of today’s electronica should enter into the lexicon as other Jazz artists recognize that they can add these compositions to their repertoire. Curtis Macdonald is an accomplished pianist and composer. His style is unique in that he uses today’s ever-popular electronica genre and layers of catchy, romantic piano melodies combined with organic acoustic instruments. Macdonald’s recent projects have included works for Sony, Warner Bros, Mattel Entertainment. He has also worked with Disney, Paramount, and Universal.
