Artist Jack Pierce will have a painting in the Huntington Art’s Council’s silent auction titled “L’Art Pour L’Art” at their Main Street Petite Gallery. Opening Night Reception Friday, September 28th from 6 to 8 pm. Proceeds from this fundraising event will support the Huntington Art Council’s Exhibition Program.

The painting “I Hope Your Dream Comes True” is homage to the inescapable symbology and superstition inherent to the human condition. Tempting our subconscious love of the metaphor to take the paintings as our own personal mantras of defiant triumph, humble reflection and ominous foreboding. Both the medium and message speak to the immortality of sincere gesture and the physical presence and power that the medium of painting still holds.

About The Artist:
Jack Pierce is a painter whose style evolved from a strong background in design combined with a fascination of color’s emotive effects. He studied design and commercial art in undergrad and received an MA in Painting and Studio Process soon thereafter. The pieces he creates are lush painterly environments populated with graphic structures from nature, and the built world. His work is a quest to represent the sublime aspects of the human experience, while visually articulating after-modern existence.
