The OC Pavilion performing arts center (http://www.ocpavilion.com) is pleased to welcome Missiles of October to the main stage on September 14, 2007. The doors to the OC Pavilion and Ambrosia Restaurant open at 5:00 PM for pre-show dining, drinks and entertainment. The concert begins at 8:00 PM.Guitarist Richard Bredice combines sweetness and roughness in equal doses to create amazing guitar riffs. The solid rhythm section of Jimmy Perez on bass and Frank Cotinola on drums creates a perfect blend of sound in a melting pot of soul, rock, blues and folk while singer/songwriter Poul Pedersen brings it all together. With their solid playing and amazing harmonies, The Missiles of October have been dazzling audiences wherever they play throughout the U.S. and United Kingdom.
LA Times writer, Mike Boehm stated, The Missiles of October “offers the best of two worlds—the funk and fire of a talented, R&B-leaning rock band, with melodic gifts and emotional acuity that meet the finest standards of the singer-songwriter tradition.”
Fletcher Harrington led the country-rock band Cowboy Buddha beginning in 1995 and released his first solo album in 2002, solidifying his status as one of California's leading singer/songwriters working along the country-rock axis. Harrington's music draws primarily from such country-rock icons as Neil Young, Johnny Cash, and Uncle Tupelo, yet the singer/songwriter also has roots in such DIY garage punk bands as the Replacements and pop/rock bands as REM. As a result, his music doesn't fall within a simple category but rather spans the axis from country to rock. His first solo album, “Eyes On Fire & Knuckles Sore” garnered strong radio play on independent American and European stations. It was voted best independent Album of the Year by the Orange County Register and in 2003 he was picked as one of the top 129 Orange County Musicians EVER by the OC Weekly (along side such legends as Dick Dale, Jackson Browne and The Righteous Brothers.)
Robert Kinsler, music critic for the Orange County Register states, “This is the kind of well-crafted, intelligent country music album that is a rebuttal of all the deservedly bad things written about so much of modern country. Harrington's work here is the perfect antidote to the manufactured likes of Shania Twain and Faith Hill.
Rock n' Roll, rebel, poet, philosopher, hopeless romantic, storyteller, guitar slingin' outlaw in black are only a few of the diverse descriptions of Gritty singer & 'Prolific' songwriter Michael Ubaldini. Following no rules Michael wound up creating his own definitive sound and was a forerunner into was to later be known As 'Americana' or 'Alt Country' .The Los Angeles Times stated he is "Better than Bruce Springsteen at probing the national soul”. Named "Best Live Male Singer & Songwriter" by The Southern California Music Awards in 2007, wining three Orange County Music Awards in two years for "Best Roots Rock" and "Best Male Live Preformer", plus his CD, "ACOUSTIC RUMBLE", was picked by the LA Times as "Best Disc of the Year" and placed in the Top 10 on the top 100 list of the 'Decades best' records.
