The Internet's first social radio network, BlogTalkRadio (BTR), today announced the appointment of Luke Armour as public relations coordinator. In his new role, Armour will promote and publicize content from BTR’s vast network of shows. Armour will be based in northeast Ohio.

"Luke is one of the leading young PR bloggers and is recognized as an innovator within the podosphere," said Alan Levy, BlogTalkRadio's founder and CEO. “We are pleased to have Luke on the team full-time to promote our network content and help our hosts get recognition for their hard work, passion and dedication.”

Armour comes to BTR with both freelance and agency communication experience. He holds a master's degree from The University of Akron in communications, with a focus on public relations and using the Internet to build and sustain relationships. He authors the "Observations of Public Relations" blog (http://armourpr.wordpress.com). He also contributes to the "Forward" blog (http://forward-moving.com/blog) and co-produces the "Forward" podcast. "Forward" is a resource for young PR professionals and students.

“I’m a passionate social media advocate,” said Armour, “and I’m thrilled be working for an organization dedicated to making podcasting easy for everyone, worldwide. BlogTalkRadio provides a network for passionate people to produce outstanding content, which they are doing. I’m honored to be not only a part of this new medium, but to be promoting the content as well.”
