Kajoobles is the result of Web 2.0 thinking, bringing users, advertisers, and charities together in a web community that combines the best that the Internet has to offer and leaves out the worst – like adult web sites.
“I wanted to create a website with the Web 2.0 idea, and make it safe. It is unlikely that anyone using the Kajoobles search engine will find adult material. The Kajoobles web community is designed to make the world a better place through giving to charities and rewarding people and businesses for donating,” said David Olmstead, founder of the site.
Olmstead said he used the Web 2.0 concept inspired him to create what he calls “Donate 2.0.” He named it http://www.Kajoobles.com rather than Donate 2.0 because it is a catchy name and there is more to do on the site than just donate.
Kajoobles is an interactive website where people and businesses can come together to help over 100 charities. When they contribute money to charities they are rewarded by doing what they enjoy, such as communicate to other members, post blogs, write news and prayers to the world, and comment on news and answer prayers. It also includes the family-friendly search engine, games, and shopping in a community where users can set up a profile and build new friendships.
“It can be used as an online dating site like Match.com, or a just to find friends like MySpace. People who donate can use it how they want. The possibilities can be endless. It is highly interactive and the more a person donates, the higher they rank on search results on the site,” explained Olmstead.
Businesses need to advertise to generate Internet traffic, and now Internet advertising will generate much-needed donations for many worthy charities, all thanks to the creation of Olmstead.
“Businesses are paying too much to advertise online. I want to change that and stay away from the quick advertising fads, such as the pixel pages. Kajoobles (http://www.kajoobles.com) will be here for years to come because it is modified advertising that has proven successful. Now companies can pay a minimal price of $15 a month and be recognized for giving to charities, with more recognition for donating more,” Olmstead explained.
