RSVP premium services hit winning notes
August 21, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Soft-launched in August 2007, RSViP has proved that many online daters are willing to spend more to access premium services that provide greater support and personal controls over the dating process. For $9.90 a month, RSViP members enjoy these features:- No expiry on stamps
- See who’s viewed you and who you’ve viewed
- Top priority ranking in search results
- Filter contacts and organise into folders such as ‘potentials’ and ‘favourites’
“After only four months live, RSViP has been a huge success story for us,” Hannah Schwartz, General Manager, RSVP said. “Members love the added control that RSViP provides, and of course, the fact that stamps don’t expire is a great benefit. Member feedback and uptake has been extremely positive.”
Send-A-Song, officially launched on Valentine’s Day continues to be popular with members.
“The service allows members to communicate to each other in a slightly different way, by sending a song straight to their inboxes,” Schwartz continued. “It’s a way for our members to really express their individuality and of course, attract the attention of that special someone!”
RSVP provides Send-a-Song in association with Sony BMG.
Gavin Parry, Sony BMG General Manager Sales and Digital added, “we are very excited to be involved in the innovative and groundbreaking ‘Send-a-Song’ initiative in partnership with RSVP. Love and music have always gone hand in hand, and allowing members to communicate with one another by sharing their musical favourites is a natural progression for online communities.”
In addition to opening its music database to RSVP members, the Sony BMG/RSVP partnership allows for regular competitions with prizes such as concert tickets, CDs and box sets.
Based on the demand for songs, RSVP has recently introduced three brand new categories - Classic Love Songs, 70s and 80s and 90s.
On the most popular songs Schwartz added, “It’s no surprise that ‘Searchin’ by the Young Divas is the top seller with ‘Can’t help falling in love’ by Elvis Presley second.”
Schwartz concluded, “ten years into the business, we really wanted to take our members’ experience to the next level this year. We continue to look for and assess fun and workable ways to enhance our members’ experiences in searching for relationships online.
