Greg Parman Trio to Play The Vault VIP Lounge on August 24

The Vault VIP Lounge, www.myspace.com/thevaultvip, is pleased to welcome the Greg Parman Trio on Friday, August 24, 2007. Orange County’s newest jazz club, The Vault VIP Lounge, will offer free entrance to the upscale lounge in support of main stage OC Pavilion event Rusty Anderson, Paul McCartney's famed guitarist. Entrance to the Vault VIP Lounge Friday evening jazz series is normally $10 per person or free with dinner at the Ambrosia Restaurant.

Greg Parman is a local acclaimed saxophone and flute player. Greg has worked with One Nation (Global Funk), Mark Massey (pianist), the Ron Kobayashi Trio, Luis Villegas (Latin guitarist), Little Bill and the Blue Notes and Merrilee Rush (“Angel of the Morning”). Greg performed on the One Nation album that was honored with the Orange County Music Award in 2004 for Best Latin – Contemporary. He also was featured on Chris Williams’ album “premoderism” that was honored with the 2007 Orange County Music Award for Best Latin for the Latin jazz rendition of “Comes Love”. He is featured on recordings with Rick Waldren and has performed at the Brea Riviera Village Jazz Festivals.

Greg Parman has been referred to as one of Orange County’s best kept jazz secrets. His “voice” on Alto, Tenor, and Soprano Saxophone’s taps into many styles of music including Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Latin, R & B, and Blues. Guests are invited to the Vault before and after Rusty Anderson’s concert to enjoy the Greg Parman Trio’s performance.

Once a basement vault for a large bank, the Vault VIP Lounge has been transformed into an intimate jazz nightclub with hightop and dining tables, hand-painted jazz murals, leather sofas, and romantic lighting. The Vault VIP Lounge showcases performances from acclaimed local and national jazz artists. Rare, imported beers, fine wines and premium cocktails are available for purchase along with a menu of salads, appetizers, desserts and a Chef’s Selection of Artisan Cheeses from around the world.
