Bellevue, Wash.—Real Estate Investors Association of Washington, known as REIA, has announced the successful kick-off of their real estate investing club. REIA opened the doors with a bang, simultaneously announcing their acceptance into the National Real Estate Investors Association, a non profit trade association that boasts some 40,000 members nationwide. REIA’s membership in the national association, coupled with their dedication to education for real estate investors, has also prompted REIA to serve as a local administrator for National’s Professional Housing Provider Program. According to the REIA website, the Professional Housing Provider Program is a “nationwide education-based certification program designed to recognize the high level of knowledge and professionalism among the designation holders”.
“REIA is thrilled to promote and serve as a local administrator of the Professional Housing Provider Program”, says Shirley Henderson, President of REIA. “Education is a key element of our members’ success in the real estate investing arena and is, along with networking, a focal point of REIA”.
According to their website, the mission of REIA “is to provide education, resources and networking that are second to none in a local Membership-Driven organization to give Real Estate Investors all of the tools needed to make ethical, sound real estate investment decisions." Testimonials found on the same website name education, networking, integrity and ethics as some of the leading attributes of the organization, along with “conciseness with quality programming”, all rare qualities in their industry that are well exhibited by this new association.
Though REIA may be a new business, their leaders are old hands in the industry. REIA is led by CEO Fox Henderson along with REIA President and wife, Shirley Henderson. The Hendersons have been prominent real estate investors in Washington State since the early 1990’s and have led a highly successful real estate investors group for another area association for the past two years. “Our tagline is “Taking your real estate investing to the next level””, says REIA CEO Fox Henderson. “We offer our members all of the resources they need to do just that.”
According to one REIA member, “Shirley and Fox are regarded as valuable resources in the field of real estate investing. I am astounded by the wealth of knowledge these two possess and their generous desire to share that knowledge with fellow real estate investors.” The REIA member goes on to say that “The Hendersons are wonderful advocates for real estate investing…the right way - ethically and with integrity."
The featured speaker at REIA’s inaugural meeting was real estate expert and attorney Alan Tonnon. Mr. Tonnon, an accomplished author, has served as President of the MLS and the Seattle-King County Association of Realtors, just to mention a small part of Tonnon’s extensive bio, and has been listed in "Who's Who in Real Estate".
REIA holds a main meeting and several smaller round table discussion group meetings each month. For more information on REIA or investing in real estate please visit www.REIAwa.com.
