HOUSTON, TX – For a glimpse of a knock-your-socks-off home-theater system, complete with projector, 100-inch screen, highest quality surround sound and luxury seating, head to the Fifth Annual Fall Home & Garden Show at The Woodlands, set for Sept. 8-9 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center.Moe Hasan, general manager of SoundVision of Houston, will have all the up-to-the-minute technologies needed to outfit your home with the latest products in movie projection and viewing, high definition TVs, disc players, digital sound systems and even home automation.
Hasan said theater rooms are a big draw for homeowners, many of whom are working them into their remodel or installing them from the ground up when building their home.
Bill and Dawn Dawley, customers of SoundVision from Champions Forest, became familiar with the Houston company after attending a previous Home & Garden Show at The Woodlands. Dawn Dawley said it was well worth the trip to the show to see the theater room set up. “Their impressive audio-visual display stood out among the other home entertainment companies. We were especially pleased with their professional and attentive staff.”
Hasan said a huge space is not required for a theater room. For instance, for the Dawleys, he customized the theater room to accommodate the space available. “Their home theater was on the small side for a projector, so we set up the room with a 63-inch plasma TV, sound system and specialty theater seating. It was perfect for their needs.”
SoundVision will also feature the latest high definition TVs. “The hottest thing in TVs now is the 1080p, the highest resolution possible. We will also have the Blu-ray Disc player, an amazing high definition product you have to see to believe.”
See the Sonos Digital Music System, which allows you to access music from any room in the home directly from the Internet without turning on your computer.” USA Today called the Sonos “one of 10 tech wonders that hit one out of the park.”
Hasan will also have home automation technology on view at the show. “Home automation allows the homeowner to control all the workings of any room in the home, such as lighting and other features, with the push of a button from anywhere in the world. You have full access to the controls in your home at any time, from any location,” he said.
This year’s show has technology covered on every front. Technology guru Michael Garfield will give a one-hour presentation on the latest high-tech home products, complete with a Q&A session. Garfield will broadcast his popular The High-Tech Texan radio show on The 9-5-0 AM KPRC live from the Home & Garden Show at The Woodlands from 1–4:00 p.m.
Other featured speakers include the Organizing Dream Team of Dana Berlin and Linda Durham; kitchen and bath expert Peggy McGowen, ASID, CMKBD; “green build” expert LaVerne Williams, AIA, LEED AP; outdoor living expert Ron Thompson, of Thompson’s Landscape Services; Randy Lemmon, host of GardenLine on NewsRadio 740-AM; and wine storage expert Jost Lunstroth, of Vineyard Wine Cellars.
