On Saturday, September 8th the Music Memorabilia Show will offer over 10,000 items including rarities from the 1800s to the 1980s. There will be vinyl LPs (33 1/3 rpm), 45rpm and 78rpm records in jazz, rock and roll, R & B - soul, blues, gospel-spiritual, soundtracks, shows, disco, pop vocals, country, folk, opera, classical, Latin, world music, TV-radio, comedy, spoken word, big bands, instrumentals, sweet bands, sports, etc. Also included will be sheet music, photographs, posters, books, magazines, etc.The Show will take place from 10am to 2pm in the Tip Top Shoe Building at 155 West 72nd Street (near Broadway) in New York City. Admission is free.
Collectors and nostalgia lovers will be able to find Jazz Concert Posters of Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and many more. Rock and roll rarities feature LPs and 45rpm records of Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Jim Morrison, The Beach Boys, The Who, The Rolling Stones, et al. Rhythm and blues classics include the music of Little Richard, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye and other Motown favorites. Folk finds are there from Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, The Weavers, Ed McCurdy et al. Country legends include Webb Pierce, Bob Wills, Johnny Cash, Sons of the Pioneers and many more. Big bands are represented by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Jimmie Lunceford, Chick Webb, Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, Artie Shaw and Quiny Jones. There is opera and classical music plus reggae from Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff, blues from B.B. King and Ray Charles etc. etc.
Rare African American sheet music from the early 20th century, photographs of rock and rollers from the 1950s on and so much more!
