CHARLOTTE, N.C. – KC Underwood, principal at SFL + a Architects, a firm designed to provide state-of-the-art architectural solutions to educational institutions, has announced the firm’s completion of Greek Village, a student housing development built on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The $16.5 million development includes 14 state-of-the-art buildings and consists of more than 124,538 square feet spread across 16 campus acres. The village will eventually accommodate as many as 640 students, in addition to the newly constructed support facilities capable of serving up to 900 students. SFL + a Architects began work on Greek Village in the winter of 2005. The goal of this project was to create a state-of-the-art development to house 14 university fraternities and sororities. The completed project provides UNC Charlotte with an architectural blend of residential and institutional design features that are consistent with the character of the main campus.
