Starting August 1st the Colobri Lighter company implemented a new warranty policy. From one year of the date of the original retail purchase the Colibri Lighter Company warrants the mechanism of any Colibri lighter to be free from mechanical defects under normal use. That is to say, they are standing behind their products.

This warranty does not apply to the outer finish of the casing. If a repair is needed while under warranty, the purchaser must return the lighter to any authorized Colibri dealer with the original sales slip. If the dealer cannot correct the problem, the dealer will then replace the lighter with the same model and price.
This warranty is also retroactive up to a year before August 1st, as long as the puchaser presents the original sales slip.

In this day and age this is a major change for any manufacturer. When goods are made not be repaired but to be disposable. Its unheard of and very competitive. No other lighter company has ever offered such protection to its products once it had left a retail store.
