On Sunday, August 26 beginning at 6pm (EST), MOVIE GEEKS UNITED!, a movie-themed talk radio program on the internet, will pay tribute to five exceptional character actors in a special 2-hour broadcast.

The tremendous talents profiled during the podcast will be Veronica Cartwright (Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Alien), M. Emmet Walsh (Blood Simple, Raising Arizona), Stephen Tobolowski (Sneakers, Groundhog Day) and deceased actors J.T. Walsh (Pleasantville, The Negotiator) and Jack Warden (All the President’s Men, The Verdict).

“These are faces we all know from countless landmark films,” says Jerry Dennis, co-host of Movie Geeks United!, “but, sadly, their names are not as ingrained in the popular vernacular as they should be. This will be an opportunity to pay tribute to a group of terrific actors who have consistently elevated both their craft and the overall quality of films.”

“The show will provide a careful analysis of their works, and great insights from the talents with whom they’ve collaborated,” says co-host, producer and writer Jamey DuVall.

Potential guests are currently in the confirmation stages. A complete show line-up is expected in the upcoming week.

Internet users may listen to the show live or on replay by visiting www.blogtalkradio.com/moviegeeksunited. They may also subscribe to the podcast for free via ITunes, where they can download additional show content, including recent 2-hour tributes to directors Brian De Palma and David Lynch and actor Al Pacino, a reunion of “The Blair Witch Project” filmmakers and co-star, and an exclusive interview with “Valkyrie” composer-editor John Ottman from the film’s Berlin location.
