The Principals of Darcorp, a property management and brokerage firm, believe in giving back to the communities they do business in. As a family owned and operated company, they are very much family driven. The principals of Darcorp have a big heart for under-privileged children and their families, so you will see that most of their charitable efforts are directed toward improving the lives of those children and their families. That said, they also have been known to donate and facilitate grants for cancer research, battered women, natural disaster victims and developmental research facilities.Darcorp’s founder, Darwin German Sr., facilitated a $500,000 grant from the H.N. & Frances C. Berger Charitable Foundation in support of the radiation oncology program at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA. The funds were used toward the acquisition of high-dose radiotherapy (HDR) equipment and software to enhance treatment for cancer patients. The Foundation’s generosity and Mr. German’s important involvement in the project will touch the lives of patients for years to come.
During the tragedy of hurricane Katrina, the principals of Darcorp also offered free rent in their family-owned apartments in the greater Dallas area for hurricane Katrina Victims. They also facilitated a nationwide donation program for hurricane Katrina victims which yielded electricity deposits, free mattresses and furniture, clothing, food, job offers and cash donations.
