Koren Reyes selected Featured Photographer by Crane & Co.

Koren Reyes, a New York City-based commercial photographer, has been selected as a Featured Photographer by Crane & Co., Inc. of Dalton, Mass. Reyes is only the third photographer to be selected by Crane to have her work showcased at the website for Crane’s Museo Digital Art Papers – www.crane.com/museo.

“I am thrilled that my art is being recognized by an American icon like Crane,” said Reyes, “especially since this is an incredibly competitive industry. It’s validation for a lot of hard work.”

Reyes began her photographic career five years ago, following a 12-year stint on Wall Street. With the financial fallout from 9/11, she found herself without a job and in need of new direction. The answer came after several photography courses on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts and at the renowned Rocky Mountain School of Photography.

“It was if all of a sudden a flash bulb went off in my head after seeing the images from my camera come to life on paper,” said Reyes. “I knew I could do this, and now my life is completely filled with photography.”

In addition to her commercial work, Reyes has developed several specialties to differentiate her talents. Her most distinctive work centers around women, especially maternity photography and newborn babies and their families.
