(SAVANNAH, GA) Learn about “Incentives for Building Green in Georgia” at Georgia Environmental Conference in Savannah

Tommy Linstroth, Head of Sustainable Initiatives for sustainable real estate development company Melaver, Inc., will be a panelist discussing “Incentives for Building Green in Georgia.” The special pre-school session will take place Wednesday, August 22, from 10:30 a.m. until noon prior to the opening session of the the 2nd Annual Georgia Environmental Conference to be held at the Hyatt Regency in Savannah on August 22-24.

In addition to Linstroth, the panelists for “Incentives for Building Green in Georgia” are moderator Tom Boeck, LEED AP, who is Principal of Sustainable Office, LLC; Laura Case, LEED AP, who is Project Manager for Emory University and Chairman of the Atlanta Chapter of US Green Building Council as well as a board member of Southface Energy Institute; Kim Chamness, AIA, LEED AP, who is Associate Principal of Perkins + Will, Inc., a board member of Atlanta Chapter, USGBC and member of the SE Regional Committee, USGBC; and David Freedman, LEED AP, who is Chief Engineer, Georgia Department of Natural Resources and a board member of the Atlanta Chapter of the USGBC.

The conference will be relevant to a wide variety of people such as attorneys, builders, developers, elected officials, citizens groups and landowners. Georgia Environmental Conference is the state's most advanced and comprehensive instruction on today's environmental programs. The Georgia Environmental Conference allows attendees to choose a personalized curriculum by selecting seven out of thirty-one offered courses, ranging from water management and recycling to regulatory updates and the greening of business. This "break-out" format provides an opportunity to interact with other attendees and instructors while earning continuing education credits (applied for) for various professions.
